About the event
Join us in the Fellowship Hall for our 25th Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This year’s theme is “Building on a Healthy Foundation.” The three largest healthcare providers in Miami-Dade County—Baptist Hospital, Jackson South Hospital, and CHI—will offer free health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
Community partners will be on site, including the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade (resources for pregnant women and parents with children up to age 3), The Links (information on kidney disease), and the Miami-Dade Police – Community Affairs & Education Bureau. Additional services include vision care with Optometrist Dr. Lenward McCalla, dental education from a Dental Hygienist, and a special session with our own Dr. Kaliyah Brown, Certified Physical Therapist. A Chiropractor will also be available.
