Celebrating the Life of Dr. Edna Scott

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the homegoing of Dr. Edna Scott, a beloved pillar to many and a life well-lived in service, strength, and compassion. Though not a member of Second Baptist Church, Dr. Scott’s impact reached far and wide, and her legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A homegoing celebration honoring her life will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Main Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church.

Reverend Dr. Walter T. Richardson will render the word of comfort, offering spiritual reflections and honoring the beautiful legacy Dr. Scott leaves behind. She is survived by a loving host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Following the service, a burial will be held at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, where Dr. Scott will be laid to rest with honor and peace.
