It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Sis. Shirley J. Kendrick, a cherished member of Second Baptist Church. Sis. Kendrick was a beacon of light, love, and faith to all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will forever be remembered.
A viewing in her honor will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Main Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church. Following the viewing, the family warmly invites loved ones to a fish fry at their home, located at 14200 Monroe Street, where we will continue to fellowship and celebrate her life.
The homegoing celebration service for Sis. Kendrick will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the Main Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church. Pastor Jackson will render a comforting word to honor her memory and faith.
Sis. Kendrick will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery following the service. Faith Mortuary, located at 1400 NW 3rd Avenue, Florida City, Florida 33034, has been entrusted with her care.
Sis. Shirley J. Kendrick is survived by a host of family and friends who deeply love and miss her. We take comfort in knowing that she has entered into eternal rest, where there is no more pain, only joy in the presence of the Lord.
We ask that you keep the Kendrick family in your prayers during this time of grief and celebration. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
