In Loving Memory of Bro. Andrew Alphonso Wright

It is with heartfelt sorrow and deep respect that we announce the passing of Brother Andrew Alphonso Wright, a beloved member of our church family. Known for his steady spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family and community, Bro. Wright’s presence was a blessing to all who knew him.

A homegoing celebration honoring his life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church. Bro. Wright leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by his devoted wife, Sister Theresa McGintis Wright, his children, and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the wake and viewing on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, also in the Main Sanctuary of SBC.

Following Saturday’s service, a burial will take place at Graceland Memorial Park South, located at 13900 SW 117 Ave, Miami, FL 33176.

A repast will be held afterward at the family’s private residence, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather, reflect, and honor the memory of a life so well lived.
